Creativity & Development
Today's goaltenders have a style of their own, understanding that style and the ability to design and develop a system for an individual enables them to add stability and consistency to their game. Perry specializes in the design and development of a goaltending system based on a goaltender's unique physical abilities and attributes, along with the style they have chosen to play. After methodically and systematically designing parts of their game to close, not create holes, take the shortest route to the puck, secure the bottom of the net, understand when to be aggressive and the importance of aggressive hand movement to name a few.
Analysing Your Opposition
"Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of your opposition will better prepare your team to attack a specific goaltender. Knowing how to exploit these weaknesses by using different attack postures you can increase the scoring potential on the team's opportunities. Having studied the position of goaltenders for over 20 years both as a goaltender and goalie coach all over the World allows me to breakdown any style or system played in the game today."

Letter from a professional goaltender!
My name is Fredrik Norrena and I play for TPS of the Elite league here in Finland, I have been a successful goaltender in this league for nine years and I have enjoyed much success being a champion here 4 times. But I felt I still could do better, I enlisted the help of Perry Elderbroom as a goalie consultant after I had a tough year when I competed against Miikka Kiprussof (San Jose Sharks) I felt that I couldn't get the proper help from our own goalie coach here in Finland. I am so grateful that I met up with Perry when I did, he didn't change anything in my style or technique because I had all of the tools, however he did teach me when to use the technique and my strengths at the right time. Probably the biggest changes in my game was that Perry was able to strengthen my mental part of the game to a new level and made me the most consistent goalie in Finland for the last two seasons. I had the best goals against average and save percentage during the regular season in 99/00 even though I suffered a serious groin injury during the season. This past season we put my game up to even a higher level and I was the only goalie to average under 2 goals a game and I finished off with over 93 save percentage. As well as winning the league Championship, I have also been approached by the National team coach about next season.
With Perry I have learned to understand more about my game and the way I play. We work very hard on the ice when he is here in Finland, but more importantly we stay in touch by phone during the season, always analyzing my game and strengthening my mental game constantly. Not only does he understand and relate to everything I am going through but I trust his judgment and feel very comfortable with everything he has tried to do for my game.
