applications accepted now through April 3, 2006

The Gold in the Net Scholarship Program was established to award select students who have a positive outlook on life, and who are leaders and role models in their schools and communities. We look to support those students who enjoy the game of hockey, demonstrate a balanced lifestyle, and know the value of a post-secondary education. In conjuction with Gold in the Net's 20th anniversary in goaltender training excellence, we proudly present our very first scholarship fund :

Aaron Cornwell
Aaron C. Cornwell
1981 - 1999

The Aaron C. Cornwell Memorial Scholarship Fund

Aaron C. Cornwell was a self driven and motivated individual. He always knew what he wanted to do, and how he was going to accomplish it. He planned on playing Jr. hockey in Canada while furthering his education in hopes of one day becoming a Marine Biologist.

The Aaron C. Cornwell Memorial Scholarship Fund was created, by bringing both his passions together, to help others in their pursuit of excellence through their hockey and academic skills. Aaron was a fine example of the type of people we would like to help. And he would be proud to know that his fund is helping others pursue dreams similar to the ones he had.

The fund is open to all Gold in the Net students and staff members, both past and present, who intend on furthering their education. Each applicant must have a minimum of 3 years with Gold in the Net as a student and/or staff member. Along with a completed application form and related documents, the student will also need to submit a 500 word essay on how Gold in the Net has influenced or impacted his or her life.
