In 2006 Gold in the Net held its very first annual golf tournament in support of the Aaron C. Cornwell Memorial Scholarship Fund. The event was a great success seeing student and Gold in the Net supporter David LeNeveu, formerly of the Phoenix Coyotes and Anaheim Ducks, was in attendance. Franchisees and Gold in the Net supporters were in attendance from all over in support of the event which raised a further $12,000.
Each year on the first Saturday of May, Gold in the Net holds its annual golf and silent auction in Parksville, on beautiful Vancouver Island to help raise funds for the Scholarship Program.
