JOIN THE GITN TEAM!

Each year Gold in the Net trains and certifies its staff for the upcoming summer programs.  We are the only hockey school that is known to train and certify its entire staff to ensure quality and continuity of its programs throughout the world.

Each year, instructor training programs were held in Parksville, British Columbia, Edmonton, Alberta and Finland.

In total, Gold in the Net has certified more than 200 staff members to teach its programs across the globe

Would you like to be a shooter at one of our clinics, mini camps or camps?

Each year, all of our locations need shooters to hit the ice and help our goalies train. We get Shooters of all different ages and levels so that we can match them up with goalies of an equal skill level.

Our Story

Perry Elderbroom_edited.jpg

“The will to WIN is easy.  The will to PREPARE to win is difficult.”

Goaltending is the greatest game on the Ice and becomes even GREATER as a student’s knowledge, skills, and abilities improve.

Gold in the Net goes the extra mile to improve ALL the vital goaltending skills necessary for our students to excel to the next level.   Experience our commitment to developing our goaltenders skills!

Gold in the Net is recognized as a world leader in setting the standards for the development of hockey goaltenders.  Our dominant presence spans across Canada, USA and Finland.

For 35+ years Gold in the Net has guided 12 students into the NHL and has assisted in the training of 10 National Team Goaltenders, achieving 6 Olympic Medals and 12 World Championship Medals. In addition, GITN students have had success with 8 Professional League Championships from the AHL, KHL, and both Finnish & Swedish Elite Leagues. GITN continues to work with goalies all over the globe, we have built our programs on our strength and abilities to see and understand the evolution of the game not only here in Canada, but on the World stage, focusing on a goalie’s style and system based on his or her strengths and weaknesses.

Gold in the Net was the first hockey school to create and implement a Mental Training Course to address the important issue of mental training for goalies. Combined with an on-ice element it has three classroom settings each day to understand theories, practical and a daily debrief.  It allows the goalie not only to understand what mental training is but helps guide them through the process of creating templates that will assist them in continuing there development on there own.
