GITN VANCOUVER ISLAND TEAM

Tanner Jaillet
Ownership Team
Master Instructor
Former pro goalie Tanner Jalliet, a University of Denver alum, achieved a National Championship and won the NCAA top goalie award. As a two-time All-American, he collaborated extensively with Gold in the Net founder Perry Elderbroom.
Since 2005, he has been a GITN student and is now mentored by Perry to develop future programs. With abundant playing knowledge, Tanner provides valuable guidance to our students both on and off the ice.

DR. KATIE SCHERTZER, ND, DC
Ownership Team
Master Instructor
Dr. Katie started with GITN in 2003 and was a recipient of the GITN Educational Bursary Award in 2008. Born and raised in Vancouver, Dr. Katie is a primary care Doctor of Chiropractic and Naturopathic Medicine with an extensive background in athletics, sports science, rehabilitation, nutrition, and holistic health care.
Starting her post-secondary education with a Bachelors in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from the University of British Columbia, she then went on to complete a Masters of Science in Sports Medicine, and Doctor of Chiropractic from the University of Western States, later followed by a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine.
Katie has coached peewee to major junior hockey and continues to play hockey herself. Dr. Katie is a certified GITN instructor and is also involved in program development and customized off ice training. Her education, along with her athletic and personal experiences, bring an invaluable addition to the Gold in the Net team.

Vince Huggins
Ownership Team
Instructor
Originally from Kelowna, Vince Huggins first laced up the skates at the age of 5 and has been playing hockey every since. As he is not a goalie, he takes on more of the business side of running Gold in the Net.

Vince got his degree in financial management and business administration at BCIT and along with his wife, Stormy, has successfully run their bookkeeping firm since 2011.
Vince brings a wealth of business knowledge and experience to the GITN team and looks forward to revamping the business side and taking GITN into the future.

You'll see him on the ice taking a minor role in coaching during our summer camps and weekly clinics.

Stormy Sweet Huggins
Ownership Team
Stormy has been friends with the founders of GITN for many years. She is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana and moved to Vancouver Island in 2004. She owns and operates a successful bookkeeping firm and began assisting GITN in that capacity before developing an interest
in hockey.

At 42 years old, she was joining the ownership team of GITN and decided to get on the ice. After some skating basics, she geared up and got in the net for a casual women's league.

Stormy enjoys using her business and financial management knowledge to help the ownership team of GITN. She also can be found handling registrations and communication with parents and goalies alike.

If you need any information, she is happy to help.
